In The Picture 2

Sisley View Marly

In the village of Marly-le-Roi, on the oustkirts of Paris, you can look at the village and compare it with a painting by the Impressionist painter Alfred Sisley. Many of the buildings are still recognisable. You’ll find this reproduction of his painting at the so-called Horse Trough end of the park, which used to be the grounds of Louis 14th’s leisure residence – near the large horse statues by Guillaume Coustou the Elder.
