All Roads Lead 3

We came across another famous Roman road, via Flaminia, in the Umbrian walled town of Bevagna (below). The road ran from Rome north to Rimini on the Adriatic coast.

Via Flaminia originally went through the centre of Bevagna, but has been relocated to pass along the edge of the town instead. The Romans weren’t big on building bypasses.
