The unusual water clock at the Pincio in Rome isn’t the only one in the Eternal City. During our visit to Rome last month, we stumbled across this second water clock. It is in the courtyard of a building in Via del Gesu (between the Pantheon and the Roman Forum).
We just happened to be walking past when the doors opened to let a car drive out, and there was this clock. It was reportedly built by Giambattista Embriaco, the Dominican priest and scientist who made the one on the Pincio.
