We also spotted some wildlife during our recent visit to John Forrest National Park, on the east side of Perth. They were mostly in the picnic and barbecue area – not overtly begging for food, but just hanging around and hoping that we might accidentally drop some food on the ground.
There were kangaroos, Australian Wood Ducks and Twenty-eight Parrots. The Twenty-eight is a subspecies of the Australian Ringneck. You can read more about these parrots in our article “Count on Me” in the current (July 2015) issue of On The Road magazine.
