Last night we went along to Supreme Court Gardens, beside the Swan River in Perth, to catch the Swan Festival of Lights. This festival is like a multicultural version of Deepavali – mostly Indian, but with added attractions like Cossack dancing and camel rides for the kids.
We especially liked all the food stalls, which were selling some of the best vegetarian Indian food in Perth at bargain basement prices. Other stalls highlighted Indian culture and handicrafts. Don’t panic if you missed it – the festival continues this evening.
