You might recall that we spent a few hours in Kowloon in October, during a layover in Hong Kong, en route from Perth to Paris. On our way back to Perth in November, we had another half day stop in Hong Kong – by deliberate intent, since it helps to break up the long journey.
On this second flying visit, we hopped the airport train to Central, went up the 800m long Mid-Levels Escalator (above) and spent a few hours wandering around taking in the sights.
One gem in the mid levels area is the colourful Man Mo Temple in Hollywood Road, with its green tile roof. The interior is mainly red and gold, with plenty of lanterns and incense smoke.
