We spotted these famous people at the Western Australian Museum in Perth. They’re part of the excellent exhibition “A History of the World in 100 Objects“.
That’s the Egyptian Pharaoh Rameses II at the top, carved in granite around 1280 BCE. The bust immediately above is a Roman sculpture of the Greek playwright Sophocles, dating from about 150 CE. And that’s Caesar Augustus below, sculpted in bronze, glass and calcite around 25 BCE.
