A Hint of Spring

It’s early winter here in Perth, but there are a few hints that spring is on its way. We were walking in Kings Park a few days back, and noticed that there are lots of wildflowers out already. The Common Hovea (above) is plentiful, but looks to be past its best. Meanwhile the Native Wisteria (below) is just coming into flower.

There are lots of Banded Greenhood orchids lurking in the undergrowth.

The Pearl Flower is looking great.

And Grevillea vestita is coming into flower too. There will be even more wildflowers in a month or two, but there are already plenty to look at.
