Kings Park in August

Yesterday we went for a walk through the native bushland of Kings Park, just a kilometre or two from the centre of Perth. It’s still winter, but there are already plenty of colourful wildflowers to admire, including Kangaroo Paws (above) and Wild Violets.

The Grevillea crithmifolia is in full flower and humming with bees.

Purple Tassels are just coming out.

Swan River Myrtle is looking great.

And there are still a few Greenhood Orchids, which have been flowering since June.
