Window Shopping 5

This marine supplies store (or yacht chandlers, to use the correct description) in Shaftesbury Avenue, London also caught our attention.

It has an intriguing collection of clocks, barometers, ropes and gadgets in the window – rather reminiscent of Solomon Gills’ marine instrument shop in “Dombey and Son” by Charles Dickens. The shop is Arthur Beale. It has been there for 120 years, and the business has a 400 year history.
