We were at Perth’s City Beach on Monday evening and watched the sunset over the Indian Ocean.
It wasn’t one of those dramatic sunsets, where the whole sky turns bright red/pink. But the changing colours and moods as the sunlight faded were still quite striking.
There is always something satisfying about watching the sun set “into” the ocean. A few days back we were walking along City Beach in Perth at sunset, and liked the changing light and colour as the sun sank into the Indian Ocean.
The top photo was taken 10 minutes before sunset, the one above as the sun just touched the horizon, and the one below 10 minutes after sunset.
The Future Sensations architectural installations in Place de la Concorde in Paris, which we featured yesterday, did have a bit of competition from mother nature. During our visit, this impressive sunset turned the surrounding statues, street lights and Eiffel Tower into dramatic silhouettes.
We noticed this striking sunset while walking along the Indian Ocean foreshore in North Fremantle yesterday evening.
We also stopped to admire the idyllic sunsets in Maui, Hawaii. These photos were taken at Kamaole Beach, where we stayed.
There was a nice coastal sunset in Perth this evening – particularly enjoyable since the past week has been mostly cloudy/showery.
